Add a vertical reference line on a lat vs. time plot

Hello folks,
         I am trying to add a vertical reference line on a lat vs. time
plot called by function "gsn_csm_lat_time". It seems that the gsnXRefLine
resource is not suitable for this kind of plot. Any suggestion for how to
achieve this?
