Re: How to use NCL to move label bar away from contour plot

I assume you are using "gsn_csm_contour_map_ce"
This automatically handles the placement of the label bar.

By specifying the "lb..." the "pmLabel..." resources,
you have altered the behavior of gsn_csm_contour_map_ce.
The following resources are all you should specify.

res1_at_cnFillOn = True
res1_at_mpFillOn = False
res1_at_cnLinesOn = False
res1_at_cnLineLabelsOn = False
res1_at_cnLevelSelectionMode = "ManualLevels" ; <=== Note
res1_at_cnMinLevelValF = -44
res1_at_cnMaxLevelValF = 44
res1_at_cnLevelSpacingF = 4
