Dear Mary,   I have downloaded the NCL for Cygwin, but wonder how I could "FTP" NCL software into the Cygwin in my windows system. I know this is a question not directly related to NCL, but it would be helpful if you could give any suggestion.    Thanks very much in advance!   Best regards, Mark  ________________________________ From: Mary Haley <haley_at_ucar.edu> To: Mark Chan <cym263_at_yahoo.com> Cc: "ncl-talk_at_ucar.edu" <ncl-talk_at_ucar.edu> Sent: Monday, July 9, 2012 11:20 PM Subject: Re: [ncl-talk] NCL install into Cygwin Hi Mark, For Cygwin, we only have an OPeNDAP-enabled version, so you need to go to that page.  From there, then, there's only one Cygwin binary. You will be able to identify it easily as it has "Cygwin" in the name. The version of NetCDF shouldn't be an issue. You don't need to install NetCDF in order to use NCL from a precompiled binary. --Mary On Jul 8, 2012, at 9:35 PM, Mark Chan wrote: > Dear NCL group, >  > I would like to install NCL 6.0.0 into Cygwin system. From "NCL Version 6.0.0 precompiled binaries, not OPeNDAP-enabled" there are a list of NCL software, which one should I choose to install into Cygwin system?  If possible, please tell which netCDF version would fit better here. >  > Thanks very much, > Mark > _______________________________________________ > ncl-talk mailing list > List instructions, subscriber options, unsubscribe: > http://mailman.ucar.edu/mailman/listinfo/ncl-talk
