Triangular meshes

Hi,

how can we draw nice finite element meshes?
What I am looking after is
http://www.ncl.ucar.edu/Document/Graphics/Images/ctcbay.gif
The example on
http://www.ncl.ucar.edu/Document/Graphics/contour_grids.shtml
does not draw the grid itself, but instead the contour.
