Re: adding properties to a map

Here's an alternate suggestion for handling the contour color bar (a.k.a LabelBar)
Set
res@cnLabelBarEndStyle = "ExcludeOuterBoxes"

If you do this I don't think you will have to make the other LabelBar modifications that Mary suggested.
