As you note below, it sounds as though you installed NCAR Graphics/
NCL via a FC6 installer. We (NCL Team) have no control over which
version of the software you get, nor do we have control over where
the install point is.

Not knowing how the FC6 installer works, or where it puts software,
or if you can specify install points (I would think so), you'll need
to know where the FC6 installer puts software libraries and header
files.

You do have two other choices:

1. Install a precompiled binary for your system, see: http://
