This example creates "smooth" or "county" filled contour plots over China of "tavg" read off 12 files. The "smooth" PNGs are the original smoothed contours. The "county" PNGs are an average of the values over each county of China, read off a shapefile

Set MASK_BY_COUNTY to False to get the "smooth" contours. The "county" contours take longer, about 90 seconds a plot.

The movies were created with:

   convert -delay 30 tavg_smooth.0000*png tavg_smooth.mp4
   convert -delay 30 tavg_county.0000*png tavg_county.mp4

plot_tavg_txt.ncl (requires mask_by_county.ncl)
