Troubleshooting guide for downloading files from the ESG

If the suggestions below don't help, then send an email to esg-support@earthsystemgrid.org.

  • I have an ESG account, but I can't remember my login name and/or password.

    If you just forgot your password, then go to the ESG Email Password page for instructions. If you forgot your login name as well, then email esg-support@earthsystemgrid.org.

  • I've requested an account from the ESG, but I can't seem to login.

    Your registration has to first be manually approved by an ESG administrator. This should happen within a couple of hours during the regular work week. During the weekend, it could take longer.

    Once an administrator approves your request (and they rarely reject requests), you will receive an automated email message with a web link that you need to visit for the registration to be approved. After this, you will receive a second "welcome" email message.

    If you don't receive this second message within a reasonable amount of time, it's possible that the automated email was caught by your spam filters, and you never received it. Please check on this first, and if you don't see it, send email to esg-support@earthsystemgrid.org.
